"Still Corners"

I was super excited when I found out that the "still corners" will be playing in Manchester and more so at one of the still untouched places in Manchester by the "wrong people" the Kraak gallery. I am so glad that its so difficult to find unless you know its there, a former textile building, with an entrance hidden away in a small alley at Stevenson Square in the middle of the Northern Quarter. I hope one day I can exhibit my work there.

Still Corners is an American dreamy pop band that I found by mistake one Sunday morning spending time on YouTube where I heard the first song and fell in love with their sound and voice and lyrics. It was the "endless summer" song.

Their work reminiscent of a more updated and deconstructed music from the early 70's, something that Nico would have easily sung. I was very impressed with their live performance and for a moment the Kraak gallery was turned into another party at the Factory.

For all those the generous people out there with spare cash please do donate some money to the Kraak gallery as it's a non profit bussiness and help it stay open so we can all have more fun nights there! visit their website www.kraak.co/

L U V MADONNA Y O U YOU WANNA!!!!!!!!!!

Fans can make you famous

A contract can make you rich

The press can make you a superstar

But only Luv can make you a player

Totally obsessed with the new song and Video by the “why took you so long” Madonna, well we all understand there is no reason to pop-fight with other rivals but we have been yearning for quite a while for your new staff and its pure genius!!! And the addition of M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj was fun. I love that she doesn't take her self too seriously and its superfun! can't wait to see her live at super bowl halftime show!

URBAN STRESS

URBAN STRESS: A state of bodily or mental tension developed through city living, or the physical, chemical, or emotional factors that give rise to that tension.

I totally suffer from urban stress, at such level that my body is starting to seize on me! or my head is so big that I can't support it anymore! I though you gain weight anywhere else but your head but according to my body my neck is in complete protest and insists not to hold my head up! maybe is all the christmas weight.

Another morning after the night before that I proceeded to spend in bed and feel sorry for myself!

and my question is why no one has found the gap in the market and start doing designer neck braces! i shoulg start designing cause i am sure there are more people out there that their heads need support but still look good. well after some research i have found this designer Betony Vernon (www.betonyvernon.com) that made the neck brace for the paparazzi video!

Lady Gaga wears neck brace Minerva made by Betony for Swarovski Runaway Rocks in her video Paparazzi.

how do they do it?

Well I can seriously say that kudos for all the bloggers out there that religiously blogg everything or almost everything! I can hardly remember to do it! I may twitter something but I can't keep myself motivated enough to do it! Well that’s why I am not a famous blogger!

I can say that I have been shopping like mad and my new wardrobes are getting filled fast which is not a very good sign! Also a very exciting long weekend is coming that I shall be spending in my beloved londinioum meeting with friends from my student years! Something like a reunion but with bank accounts!

I can't wait to go back to circus, the proud galleries, the Corinthian, and more fun fun fun at pizza east and cargo which I can't seem to leave out from my visits!

I shall be blogging more on the way there and on the way back!

All I need is some packing and I am there!

Keep you posted

Blogg along

Well I know I have seriously disappeared from planet blogg due to my "heavy" commitments with my real estate craziness! I have no idea how it happened but i ended up buying a house and cheat fashion with real estate and vogue with living etc!

Needless to say that my main request in my new "crib" was wardrobes wardrobes wardrobes! And I got lots of them! Now that my archives have been happily moved and all hanging colour coded and have three drawers just for accessories (always envied that) I can happily comeback to what I like to do with my many hours I spare and that is blogging!

I have missed so many events but I will not start backdating things and reflecting on the past!

I am going back home after my short 48 hr fully fun packed weekend in my beloved Londinioum! Where I managed to have dinner at Pizza east (veal meatball pizza highly recommended) dance myself to death at cargo, wake up for vintage and furniture shopping at Islington where I stayed! Then Get ready for the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition at the national gallery, cocktails at SkyLon (French fashion martinis reminded of my mothers cherry liqueur that I was drinking when I was younger on special occasions) then dinner at the Corinthian (service was poor, shame but the hake was very tasty). And all of the above followed by Ponystep at East Blok!

After a extra dose of coffee and some scrambled eggs with salmon I am on my way in the train with a very smelly man in front of me (well I think it's him I can smell fish). Another hour to go and I will be home to see my beloved mimi and prince!

That's all for now!

Ps: good news while I was proofreading the post smelly man moved! Happy days! I can now stretch my tired legs and travel happy! Still smells though!

This House is Home

House

I am currently obsessed with the new single and new music video of "House", the lyrics are insane, the music is insane, the fashion credits are insane, the direction insane! love obsessed love and obsessed!Sing your little hearts away!

Oh, I love this house, I love this house
Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known
Oh, I love to hear those conkers fall
Smash 'em on and Suffolk stone

That I love that here you live with me
Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known
Cause I've been too long a lonely man
Yes I've been too long a rolling stone

So let seasons turn
Grow paradise garden
And to my migration
the native has returned

Oh, I love the curling of your hair
Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known
I see your Dylan Thomas in your face
The silent buckling in your grace
Grace, grace, your grace

So let seasons turn
Grow paradise garden
And to my migration
The native has returned

And if I have to die today
Scatter my ashes on this place
And I'll live on in your grieving heart
but until that day that we depart

Oh, this is the greatest peace I've known
Oh, the greatest peace I've ever known
Oh, the greatest peace I've ever known
Oh, the love makes this house a home

Home, home, home
This house is home
Home
